YBhg Datuk Sr Firdaus Musa Delivers Opening Remarks at the 2024 Malaysian Housing, Urban Development and Property Summit
Our Group Managing Director and President of FIABCI Malaysia, YBhg Datuk Sr Firdaus Musa, had the honour of delivering the opening address at the 2024 Malaysian Housing, Urban Development and Property Summit, held at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
The summit, themed “Future Ready & Future Proof Urban Property Development,” was co-hosted by FIABCI Malaysia and organised by the KSI Strategic Institute for Asia Pacific (KSI). It served as a strategic platform for thought leaders, policymakers, and industry professionals to discuss pressing issues and new opportunities shaping Malaysia’s property and urban development landscape.

In his opening remarks, Datuk Sr Firdaus Musa highlighted the urgent need to address the challenges surrounding housing affordability, sustainable urban growth, and inclusivity in the Malaysian property sector. He stressed the importance of collaboration between the government, developers, and professional bodies to ensure that urban development remains both future-ready and people-focused.
Datuk also emphasised that effective housing policy and planning must go beyond construction targets — focusing instead on quality of life, equitable access, and resilient community development. His message underscored FIABCI Malaysia’s ongoing commitment to advancing the nation’s property agenda in alignment with global sustainability and smart-city principles.
The summit saw participation from government officials, real estate leaders, and professionals across various sectors, including developers, planners, valuers, and urban policymakers. Distinguished speakers such as YBhg Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim, former Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, delivered keynote addresses on sustainable development goals and inclusive housing initiatives.
For the Firdaus & Associates Group, the summit provided valuable exposure and networking opportunities, showcasing the Group’s active involvement in policy discourse, real estate innovation, and thought leadership within Malaysia’s built environment. It also reinforced the Group’s growing influence and visibility among key stakeholders and decision-makers in the national housing and property development ecosystem.
