Datuk Sr Firdaus Musa Delivers Opening Speech & Presents Awards at the Malaysia Developer Awards 2022
We are proud to announce that our Group Managing Director, Datuk Sr Firdaus Musa — in his capacity as President of FIABCI Malaysia — delivered the opening address and presented awards at the prestigious Malaysia Developer Awards 2022 (MDA), held at the Sunway Resort Hotel on 19 October 2022. The Guest of Honour for the evening was Yang Berbahagia Datuk Wira M. Noor Azman bin Taib, the Secretary General (KSU) of the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT), who graciously officiated the ceremony and presented the top honours to Malaysia’s leading property developers. His presence underscored the Ministry’s continued support for initiatives that promote excellence, transparency, and innovation within the nation’s real estate and housing sector.
The gala evening attracted nearly 600 key stakeholders in Malaysia’s property and development industry, gathering at Sunway Resort Hotel for a night of celebration, networking, and recognition. The prestigious ceremony saw 28 trophies awarded across five categories — combining Special Awards (e.g., Rising Star, Transformation, International) and Top-of-the-Chart Awards (divided by market capitalisation tiers above and below RM1 billion) to ensure a fair and inclusive benchmarking of the industry.
As President of FIABCI Malaysia, Datuk Sr Firdaus opened the event with a formal welcome and remarks emphasising the importance of holistic, credible benchmarking, the need to incorporate global standards of development excellence, and upholding strong values that embrace social and environmental responsibility. After the opening address, he personally presented awards to the distinguished recipients, acknowledging their achievements and contributions to the built-environment and property industry.
